What we collect
What you type into our forms: name, email, phone, event details, venue, guest count, your kashrus requirement and any dietary or allergen information. With every consent we also store the date and time, your IP address, the page the form was submitted from and the version of the consent wording you agreed to, so that both sides have a record of what was agreed.
Allergen and dietary information
Information about a guest's health is sensitive. We use it only to prepare and label food safely, share it only with the kitchen and service staff who need it, and delete it 30 days after the event.
How we use it
To answer your enquiry, quote, confirm arrangements, take a final headcount and invoice. Mail about your own event — quotes, confirmations, headcount reminders — is sent because you have a booking with us, and unsubscribing from marketing never stops it. Seasonal menus and yom tov ordering dates are sent only if you asked for them, and every one of those carries a one-click unsubscribe.
Who else sees it
Our email provider, Amazon Web Services (SES), which processes mail on our behalf; our accountants for invoicing; and, where relevant to your event, the venue and our certifying agency. We do not sell data and we do not share your details with other caterers except when you ask us to refer you.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become bookings: 12 months. Event and invoice records: 7 years, as required for tax. Marketing consent: until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Ask us for a copy of your data, a correction, or its deletion, and we will act within 30 days. Write to hello@kosherselection.com.
Security
This site runs on a rebuilt installation with new credentials and keys, and mail is authenticated with SPF, DKIM and DMARC at enforcement. If we ever suffer a breach affecting your details, we will tell you and the relevant authority.
