Terms of service
These terms cover catering supplied by Kosher Selection, trading as Kosher Selection, of 100 NE 8th Ave, Gainesville, FL 32601. Cancellation, date changes and headcount are governed by our cancellation terms, which form part of this agreement.
Quotes and bookings
A quote is valid for 30 days and states the menu, the covers, the service staff and the kashrus standard being supplied. A booking exists when the quote is signed and the deposit received. Prices are exclusive of Florida sales tax and of any venue charge.
Kashrus
We supply under the supervision of Kosher Miami (KM) to the standard written on your quote. That written standard governs; anything said on the phone does not. If your rav requires a standard we do not hold, we will tell you in writing before you pay a deposit and refer you elsewhere. Food supplied by anyone other than us — cakes, sweets, drinks, venue bread — is outside our supervision and we will not present it as certified.
At the event
Certification cards bearing the agency symbol, the mashgiach's signature and the date are displayed at the event. The kosher kitchen remains under the mashgiach's control, and where a venue kitchen has been kashered, under his lock and key. We may withdraw service, without refund of costs already incurred, if a third party introduces uncertified food into the kitchen or the service area against our instruction.
Allergens
We supply a full allergen matrix with each quote and label special plates. Our kitchen handles nuts, gluten, sesame, egg, fish and dairy, so we cannot guarantee the absence of traces. Where a guest has a severe allergy, tell us at enquiry and we will state in writing what we can and cannot guarantee.
Payment
The balance is due 7 days before the event. Late payment carries interest at 1.5% per month. Damage or loss of our equipment at a venue is charged at replacement cost.
Liability and law
Our liability is limited to the value of the contract, except where the law does not permit that limit. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
